Unpopular Opinions/// Just for fun

Hello everyone, I am back with another post on my blog today. This is just a random/fun post just to kick off the week. I have been noticing the trend with these unpopular opinions posts/videos and I thought why not try this. Also do not get offended, like I said this is just for fun and these are just my opinions, anyways I hope you guys enjoy and comment down below if you agree with any of these!

  1. ASMR is super cringey and not at all soothing, I can’t stand it.
  2. Mayo is a must on sandwiches/burgers, or else it would be so dry and yucky, and the mayo just tops a sandwich.
  3. Nutella is gross af, never liked it.
  4. Bhad Barbie songs are actually somewhat good, they’re super catchy, however I still don’t like her as a person.
  5. 13 Reasons Why isn’t a terrible show, however I do not agree with how they portray everything throughout the series, there are definitely many areas that need improvement on mental health awareness.
  6. The ACE family is incredibly overrated, I do not understand why everyone is obsessed with them.
  7. Sushi is not the best food ever, it’s cold and very bland. Have you ever heard of tacos or pizza?
  8. Thin mints are not the best kind of Girl Scout cookies, there too basic, therefore it’s tagalongs that take the crown.
  9. Ulta is way better than Sephora. They have a larger selection, cheaper, and more of a variety for cruelty free products.
  10. Why the heck does everyone have a juul, it’s disgusting and pointless. (Not hating if you do that just don’t understand why everyone is obsessed with them.)
  11. In and Out is honestly the most overrated fast food place there is, their burgers not even really good and the fries are mediocre. Portillos is a million times better, Chicago does food right.
  12. Glossy lips>>> colored lips . I am obsessed with the way they look, compared to liquid or regular lipstick.
  13. Leonardo DiCaprio is not that good looking honestly. Don’t get me wrong he’s an amazing actor and good person in real life, but not attractive.
  14. The yodeling boy was not at all funny or amusing, I don’t know why he became so famous.
  15. Lastly, ice tea is just a big no. There’s no flavor and it’s just no. Water is better than that.

Hope you all enjoyed this short post. Comment down below if you agree with anyone of these, and if you don’t then well comment if you want haha. goodbye high school/// a short diary

Hi everyone, I am finally back from my short break, I really needed it and I’m glad I took it, because now I feel ready to blog again. Anyways, today’s post will be another personal and short diary entry about the end of high school for me. This is a bit different than the other posts I have blogged about before, but I’m happy with the way it turned out.

Goodbye High School…

“From there on, it all became bittersweet. I acted like there was not a care in the world, however in reality I was far from it. Mixed emotions ran through my blood, I had no idea how to feel. I should be glad that I was out of the place that I called hell for two years. However, something about today was different that made me miss something that was no longer in my life. I’m not sure if it was those empty hallways, or the staff that was there, or even the fresh school scent that hit me as soon as I walked through the front doors. Once I received my diploma, of course I was happy that I had finally graduated high school and was finally done with this place forever. However, in a way I also felt somewhat sentimental saying goodbye to this place, I mean, even though not much came out positive from high school, I still wouldn’t of met some of my favorite teachers or my counselor, or even some friends who changed my life at the time. But from that moment on, I felt ready to let go of all the anger and hurt I had been feeling for so long, and when I did, there was this sense of closure I felt after. The moment I stepped through the doors, I said my goodbyes to this place; letting go of the past and stepping into the next chapter of my life.”

Social Stigma of Mental Illnesses in Society/// Mental Health Awareness Week 2018

Hi beauties, I’m back with another post as promised for Mental Health Awareness Week. Yesterday, I opened up to you all with my personal story on dealing with anxiety, I was planning to share another one of those with you all today on the other mental illness I struggle with, however I do not feel ready to open up about it just yet. Today’s post is just as good though and open about the discussion of mental illness.

Mental Illness is somewhat of a taboo subject in society. When we think about mental illness, a social stigma comes into play. It’s quite unfortunate, but many people are still uneducated about mental illnesses and do not realize that it is a real serious issue that affects millions of people throughout the world.

Part of the reason that mental illness is a taboo subject is the fear of being objectified and labeled in today’s society. For me and I’m sure many other people out there as well, I feared that I would be labeled as an “attention seeker” or “freak”. It’s common nowadays that people have to worry about what others are going to label them as, and it’s the awful truth. To all the people reading this out there,  if you’ve ever been labeled something, just know that those people do not understand what you’re going through nor mental illnesses in fact, they are not inside your head, only you are.

In this post I also want to establish some problematic things that people with a mental illness do not want to hear from someone who does not have a mental illness.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when I hear someone say “get over it or snap out of your attitude”. I cannot simply get over something that has been bringing me pain for years, it’s not something that I will ever get over in a snap of your fingers. For people who have ever said this, they simply do not understand mental illnesses at all, I don’t care if they say they do, because someone would understand the severity to not say those phrases to you.

Another problematic thing that people hate to hear, are comparisons with other people’s mental health. Mental illness is a spectrum like many things on this planet, you cannot compare one person’s illness to the other person’s illness. Levels of severity range and everyone has a different situation, so just a reminder to not compare people’s illness and health.

This last one is a PSA for people who do not understand this concept, that being said, “STOP USING MENTAL ILLNESSES AS ADJECTIVES”, mental disorders are not meant to be thrown around in your daily conversations! It’s extremely disrespectful and hurtful to those with mental illnesses. Please take them out of your vocabulary and educate yourself. Also while we’re at it, let’s get rid of the “R word”, it’s offensive and unacceptable.

One last thing I want to touch base on is a bit controversial, therefore I am going to add a ****TRIGGER AHEAD****. Stop saying “kms or kys”, I cannot express how much that infuriates me, because that’s something serious and it’s not to be made fun of. People take that seriously (as most people should), and it’s offensive to all those that have suffered from suicidal thoughts and ideation.

Hopefully this post gives you all insight on mental illnesses and the stigma that comes with it. It’s important to acknowledge and know these factors to help make yourself more aware on the issues that people with mental illnesses struggle with on a daily basis.

You are all beautiful souls.
