Beauty + Skincare Haul| Target & Lush

Happy 1st day of February or 2nd depending where you live, lovelies! Yesterday I did some shopping at Target, Lush, and Trader Joe’s for some beauty things I needed, groceries, and some things I wanted to also try out. I am so excited to try these new products, hopefully if they work out then expect to see them in a February favorites later this month!¬†ūüėČ

To begin with, I will be showing you what I purchased on my trip to Target. Okay so, I have been trying to find a good quality shampoo that is cruelty-free for quite a bit. I recently noticed that Target was starting to carry a new brand, “Love beauty And planet“, this brand sells shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Their products are vegan, natural, cruelty-free, and free of parabens, dyes, and silicone. Everything I want in a shampoo is in here, that is why I decided to pick up the Love beauty And planet Coconut oil & ylang ylang hope and repair shampoo.¬†The shampoo smells so beautiful, it recovers damaged hair, and I love how it is vegan, fingers crossed that it works out!¬†IMG-0809

The next two products are both different kinds of face masks by one of my favorite brands, Yesto. Both of the masks are new to the Yesto line. The first mask I decided to get was the Yesto Triple Masking Kit: Hydrate, Detox, and Recharge. This mud mask features coconuts which hydrate, charcoal that detoxifies the skin, and blueberries which recharge the skin. What is really awesome about this mask, is how the mask is designated for different areas of the face. The other mask I purchased was the Yesto carrots vitamin-enriched kale paper mask. The sheet mask uses carrot extract which acts as a nutrition boosting element for the skin. This mask happens to be 100% vegan which is very exciting. I will also be doing a Yesto review of three different types of face masks; a sheet one, a clay one, and a triple mud masking kit, lookout for the post next week! IMG-0813

You will not believe how long I was looking for the e.lf. Mad for Matte 2 eyeshadow palette, I love the colors so much and it retails for $10, and over a year ago when I found out about the palette, I was determined to find it somehow even though it was sold out pretty much everywhere. I could not believe that after over a year looking for this, I finally found it, I was so excited, it just  made my whole Target trip. IMG-0810

My last thing from Target that I purchased was the, Thayers Witch Hazel Rose Petal. From my nighttime skin care routine you found out how much I love this toner, but in lavender. I was eager to try the Rose Petal edition, which is why I could not resist and just had to buy it!IMG-0808

So I also went to Trader Joe’s yesterday to buy my groceries, and I decided to purchase one skin-care product. I bought the Trader Joe’s enrich moisturizing face lotion with an SPF of 15. I have been needing to get a facial cream with SPF in it, which is why I decided why not purchase this one, it also claims that it is light and non-greasy which is a win for me. It retailed for $4.00 for a four fluid oz bottle.

Okay so now onto my mini Lush haul! I cannot resist going into Lush, so I just had to pop inside! I have been wanting to check out their Valentine’s day collection, since it has been everywhere from social medias to blog posts. I fell in love with the adorable Love Boat bath bomb, it smells like a burst of floral and lemon scents, the bath bomb is only here for V-day so I figured, I would try it out before it’s gone. I also bought the cutest body scrub known as, Scrubee! I have seen so many great reviews about Scrubee ūüźĚ, and I am obsessed with the smell of shea butters and coconut oil inside the product. This product was here only for the Mother’s day collection last year, but with the popularity of it, Lush decided to make it permanent!

Lastly, I purchased the Aqua Marina Facial and Body Cleanser, a calming calamine wash that soothes sensitive skin. I tend to use different products whenever it comes to washing my face in the morning, which is why I decided to stick to one product that I feel will work best for me. At Lush, the two workers were very sweet enough to apply Aqua Marina and Fresh Farmacy and test out which one I like better, I walked into Lush thinking I was going to get Fresh Farmacy, but I actually ended up getting Aqua Marina. I used it last night to wash my face, and my skin felt very soft and freshly cleansed, definitely happy I made this purchase. img-0812-e1517513935791.jpg

Winter Skin Essentials\\\2018

Do you struggle with dry and sensitive skin throughout the winter time? I know that I do and I assume many of us have the same problem. I have the solution for you in this new blog post, the must need winter essentials to combat dry skin. The upcoming products that I have listed as my winter essentials have been personally the best for me, I hope that they work just as great for you, not to mention that they are almost all cruelty-free! Onto the winter essentials, (they will be listed in the order of when they are applied).

After cleansing my skin the first step in my skin care routine is to apply my daily moisturizer. The moisturizer that I use throughout the winter is the Pacifica Dreamy Youth Day and Night face cream. For those who suffer from dry skin, I highly recommend. I usually only apply it the morning since it is a heavier feeling cream. The cream itself does go a long way so much is not needed, the smell is also a nice floral herbal scent from the natural antioxidants in it. Unfortunately, my skin type is mostly oily so I find that sometimes just the moisturizer will leave my skin somewhat oily so to prevent that from happening, I mix the cream with a pump of the Grease Lightning Tea tree and Aloe gel from Lush. The combo of the two products balances my skin giving it a natural glow but also prevents oil on my face. The two are both natural and vegan products that I highly suggest.

Holy-Grail Winter essentials.

Of course chapstick is a must throughout these chilly months. I use the¬†Burt’s Bees Pomegranate moistrurizing lip balm.¬†Burt’s Bees is queen of all lip balms, I find that I get the finest moisturization from this particular one with a natural scent.

A little something that I use to lock in all the moisture in my skin is the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with aloe, cucumber, and green tea. I spray this all around my face a few times to give my skin the right amount of hydration. I do have all three Mario Badescu Facial sprays, but currently I am using this one daily. Processed with VSCO with f3 preset

My hands are very crucial when it comes to the winter, constantly washing my hands to protect myself from the flu, I have to moisturize¬†my hands quite often. A hand cream I find extremely helpful is the¬†It’s a 10 Silk Express miracle intensive hand cream.¬†This is all you could want in a hand lotion, the feeling makes your hands incredibly soft and silky, it has a light jasmine aroma, and the best part for me is that it’s not greasy what so ever! I hate hand creams that leave my hands with a greasy feeling, this one does not which is a huge win for me.¬†IMG-0443 (1).JPG

Now for my after shower skin care, I like to keep it pretty minimal starting by applying the Nivea Skin Firming Hydration Body Lotion all over my body after I shower, to really absorb in my skin. I am aware that Nivea is sadly not cruelty-free which is why I plan on switching my type of body lotion (Comment down below a good cruelty-free lotion if you use one :)). Overall, the lotion definitely keeps you moisturized and is unscented.  Processed with VSCO with f3 preset

The next product is not something I use daily, it’s really only for when my skin is really suffering from the dryness, then I will use the¬†Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan¬†Oil. I usually only drip three to four drops on my face, mostly my cheeks and my lips and give myself a nice massage to get my blood flowing all throughout my face for a natural flush.¬†Processed with VSCO with f3 preset

On the days when I do not use the argan oil on my face, I reach for the¬†Burt’s Bees Sensitive Daily moisturizing cream.¬†This cream is very light and slightly liquidy¬†so give it a good shake before using. Perfect cream to use on your face after the shower to get smooth looking baby soft skin.
