Do you struggle with dry and sensitive skin throughout the winter time? I know that I do and I assume many of us have the same problem. I have the solution for you in this new blog post, the must need winter essentials to combat dry skin. The upcoming products that I have listed as my winter essentials have been personally the best for me, I hope that they work just as great for you, not to mention that they are almost all cruelty-free! Onto the winter essentials, (they will be listed in the order of when they are applied).
After cleansing my skin the first step in my skin care routine is to apply my daily moisturizer. The moisturizer that I use throughout the winter is the Pacifica Dreamy Youth Day and Night face cream. For those who suffer from dry skin, I highly recommend. I usually only apply it the morning since it is a heavier feeling cream. The cream itself does go a long way so much is not needed, the smell is also a nice floral herbal scent from the natural antioxidants in it. Unfortunately, my skin type is mostly oily so I find that sometimes just the moisturizer will leave my skin somewhat oily so to prevent that from happening, I mix the cream with a pump of the Grease Lightning Tea tree and Aloe gel from Lush. The combo of the two products balances my skin giving it a natural glow but also prevents oil on my face. The two are both natural and vegan products that I highly suggest.

Of course chapstick is a must throughout these chilly months. I use the Burt’s Bees Pomegranate moistrurizing lip balm. Burt’s Bees is queen of all lip balms, I find that I get the finest moisturization from this particular one with a natural scent.
A little something that I use to lock in all the moisture in my skin is the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with aloe, cucumber, and green tea. I spray this all around my face a few times to give my skin the right amount of hydration. I do have all three Mario Badescu Facial sprays, but currently I am using this one daily.
My hands are very crucial when it comes to the winter, constantly washing my hands to protect myself from the flu, I have to moisturize my hands quite often. A hand cream I find extremely helpful is the It’s a 10 Silk Express miracle intensive hand cream. This is all you could want in a hand lotion, the feeling makes your hands incredibly soft and silky, it has a light jasmine aroma, and the best part for me is that it’s not greasy what so ever! I hate hand creams that leave my hands with a greasy feeling, this one does not which is a huge win for me.
Now for my after shower skin care, I like to keep it pretty minimal starting by applying the Nivea Skin Firming Hydration Body Lotion all over my body after I shower, to really absorb in my skin. I am aware that Nivea is sadly not cruelty-free which is why I plan on switching my type of body lotion (Comment down below a good cruelty-free lotion if you use one :)). Overall, the lotion definitely keeps you moisturized and is unscented.
The next product is not something I use daily, it’s really only for when my skin is really suffering from the dryness, then I will use the Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil. I usually only drip three to four drops on my face, mostly my cheeks and my lips and give myself a nice massage to get my blood flowing all throughout my face for a natural flush.
On the days when I do not use the argan oil on my face, I reach for the Burt’s Bees Sensitive Daily moisturizing cream. This cream is very light and slightly liquidy so give it a good shake before using. Perfect cream to use on your face after the shower to get smooth looking baby soft skin.
I really hope that you are able to try one of my winter essentials, comment below is you have any essentials for your skin to survive during the winter time. Please like and subscribe if you enjoyed this post.
