What I received in my Ipsy Glam Bag/// May 2018

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog. It’s been nearly a week since my last post, which was more of a serious/personal post (thank you to everyone who read my posts and comments positivity to me, it meant a lot). Today’s post will be my awaited post on unboxing my May Ipsy Glam Bag.

This month’s Glam bag theme is “Go There”, it’s all about finding yourself in the midst of traveling. This month’s bag is adorable, the bag itself has vintage international traveling stamps, and not to mention that it’s great quality. I’m looking forward to trying these products out, so let’s get into the unboxing portion.

SL Miss Glam Pink Beauty Sponge

This product is probably what I’m most excited for, it’s so cute and tiny. So far I have had nothing but good experiences with Slmissglam. As many of you know, the Original beauty Blender is my holy-grail, but I’ve also been loving the Real Techniques Sponge for quite some time now, and hopefully this could be a new contender!

Aphrodite Skincare Olive Oil Face Scrub

This is a new brand to me, however I did do some research about their company and I’m very intrigued by their products. Aphrodite Skincare are products that are handcrafted in Greece, a staple of most of their products is olive oil. The face scrub claims to be gently exfoliating and cruelty-free.

TonyMoly Painting Therapy Pack: Sebum Control Black Color Clay

So unfortunately, Tonymoly is not cruelty-free which is very unfortunate because I really do like their products, however I do not believe I will be using this product, because they do test on animals. I will probably end up giving this product to a relative of mine.

IMG-5593

TreStique Mini Matte Blur Stick

I absolutely love the concept of this product, as an oily person, this would definitely come in handy. The product claims to be a blurring primer and shine eraser, I only tried this product in a small area of my hand so far, therefore I will need to use this one my face a few times in order to form an opinion. Their site claims that they do not test on animals, however I do not see a certification, so hopefully they are.

Huda Beauty Lip Contour in Trophy Wife

I was very fortunate to get this in my Glam bag this month, I have never tried any of Huda’s products however they are all very beautiful and this is a gorgeous color. I do not wear lip products often, however I will definitely give this one a shot.

Nyakio Kenyan Coffee Face Polish

This last product is a product that I got using my Ipsy points, and I am beyond excited to try this out. The product is certified cruelty-free, organic/natural, and fair-trade. This face polish exfoliates to give your skin a youthful radiant complexion, with the ingredient of Kenyan Coffee. IMG-5595

What I received in my Ipsy Glam Bag/// April 2018

Welcome back to my blog lovelies! I apologize for not posting last week, I have been incredibly busy, working on my online classes and thank goodness I finished one this week, I am a quarter done with my last one so hopefully by next week I will be done. Anyways, it’s already the mid of April which is pretty bizarre, but you know what that means, it’s time to unbox my Ipsy Glam Bag!

This month’s Glam bag is so spring, with a theme of being a “Social Butterfly”, hence all the unique butterflies on the bag. This month is all about saying “yes!” to all plans coming your way and to enjoy the stuff happening now. Off of a first impression, I am very pleased with this bag and I’m so excited to try everything!

Filorga Meso-Mask

This is a brand that is completely new to me, known as Filorga; is a French beauty brand based out of Paris. The “smoothing radiance mask” I received, happens to be more of a cream than an actual mask itself. I will have to check the site’s website on how to use this product since it does not state anything on the package, however it seems very good and is lightweight. I’m definitely curious to see how it works as an illuminator.

IMG-4188

Hempz Ultra Moisturizing Herbal Lip Balm

I was probably most excited to try this from my glam bag this month, I had heard some good feedback about the product and wanted to give it a shot! Not only is the brand Hempz cruelty-free, but it’s also 100% vegan! This balm comes in a squeeze tube with a slanted edge applicator, making it easy and compact! The lip balm instantly smoothed my lips, giving them a natural glow. I love the way it smells, it has a Citrus natural blend of different oils. It moisturizes your lips keeping them hydrated with the 100% natural hemp seed oil.

Ofra Cosmetics Blush in Chameleon

This coral pop blush comes in a full size pan, giving you a lot of product. I did swatch it on my hand and found that the blush is very smooth and glides very easily onto the skin. I am in love with the color, it’s a peachy blush, that will be perfect for the upcoming warm months. I am looking forward to wearing this blush, I have had good impressions so far with Ofra Cosmetics.

IMG-4182

Meech And Mia Eyeshadow in Copper

This loose pigment eyeshadow reflects a coppery golden magical color. The eyeshadow gives full pigment to the eyes, with this lustrous hue . The shade most definitely calls out my attention, however I have been receiving a copper/bronze shimmer eyeshadows and highlights in almost all of my previous bags. I really wished there were more matte shades given out in the glam bags, because I wear mattes way more than shimmery shades.

IMG-4185

Beau Gâchis Tapered Blending Eyeshadow Brush

This sleek brush is simple yet elegant, and perfect to use while blending in your transition shade. The site claims that their bristles are a mix of natural animal hair and synthetic hair, but their products are cruelty-free (which is a little confusing). However, the brush itself is pretty thin and very soft, I am willing to do more research on the brand and give this brush a try.  Fun fact, Beau Gâchis is actually  French for “Beautiful Mess”.

What I received in my Ipsy Glam Bag/// March 2018

Hey lovelies, in today’s post I will be showing you my what I received in my March Ipsy Glam bag! I received my bag this past Monday, and I was so eager to share it with you all. Okay, my first impression of the bag was that this is the best bag so far, The bag is very creative and different from others, not to mention, all the products that I received this month are all new products I have never tried, and mostly from brands I’m unfamiliar with.

This month’s Glam bag theme is “Create”, turning yourself and your world into a work of art. It is all about embracing creativity, changing things up a bit, and adding a little pop into your life. The bag comes with two markers, a lime green and a hot pink, for you to color the heads on your bag and make it uniquely yours. Now onto my Glam bag, shall we!

BRTC Jasmine Waterful Foaming Cleanser

I am very excited that I received a skin care product in my bag, I feel that I have not gotten any skin care products in my Ipsy bag within the past few months. This cleanser happens to come from a Korean Beauty brand, that smells just like the beautiful flower of Jasmine. I find the consistency of the cleanser very similar to the, Jeju Volcanic Cleanser, which I like for a more soothing cleanse to the skin.

IMG-2547

AHAVA Time To Clear Purifying Mud Mask

This happened to be my second skin care product I received this month, from a new brand that I’m very eager to try. The mask contains mud from the Dead Sea in Israel, and you know it’s going to be good. The instructions state that the mask is only on for about two minutes, then should be rinsed off.

IMG-2551

Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow in “LOLA”

I have heard great things about the Doucce eyeshadows and I was very excited when I received a shade in this plumberry color. When I first applied this to my skin, the color picked up very well, although it was a little lighter than it appeared in the pan, which is fine with me because the color is still gorgeous. I feel that this color would work very well with coppers/oranges/tan hues. (Swatch will be shown with the next product).

IMG-2548

City Color Glow Duo: Cream | Powder

The powder color stood out to me a lot because it is this pretty iridescent bronze that stands out and for the cream, I was excited to pretty much try another cream highlighter, however I was very disappointed when I took a swatch of the shade. I went to apply the cream highlighter three times and hardly any shimmer showed up, it is very shear and not at all pigmented which was a huge downer. On the *bright side* (highlighter is bright, get it, haha), the bronze shade won my favor, much more than a lot of similar shades I have come across, simply because the color is a bronzed shimmer with a subtle pink tint! This color and the Lola Doucce shade, would be absolutely stunning together in an eye look!

(Please excuse my hairy arm, I was too lazy to shave my arms) I used flash to capture the best lighting.

Tarte Sex Kitten Eyeliner

Lastly, I received a black gel eyeliner and I’m glad I received this over a liquid liner since I do not really wear eyeliner. Although, since the application is a bit easier with this, I am willing to try using this the next time I do an eye look. Fingers crossed that this works out, because I need something to make my eyes pop!
