Spring Break Ideas To Do if You’re not Traveling | 2018

Hello everyone, I hope that you are all doing well. Spring break season is near, or you may be currently on spring break, whichever it is , I decided to tell you all a list of activities to do throughout your break. Spring break can still be a blast even if you’re not traveling. I will give you guys a guide to adventure and bursts of fun to do this spring break!

Spring Break Guide:

  • Head out to your Local Mall:Treat yo self, girl!” Go out and treat yourself to something you really have been wanting, whether it’s a new pair of shoes, a highlighter, or a bath bomb. Head out with some friends or family members to make the most of your time there, and even go out to eat! Do not worry if you cannot shop, window shopping is always fun, then take some funny mall pictures with your friends. I also recommend checking out your local shopping mall website to find out what events are happening that weekend!
  • Movies, Popcorn, & Movies: Have a Movie day with your besties or family members! It can either be at home or at the theatres, just binge watch on some rom-coms or horror movies while eating some buttery popcorn. Movies are just a great way to take an easy and be comfortable.
  • Spa day/pamper yourself: This was bound to be on the list, a spa day can include of going out to get a massage, getting mani-pedis, or even taking a bubble bath with a face mask on! Make sure to also take advantage of this time, to rest and sleep in as long as you want, have a relaxing day either at home or out, this is an independent activity that gives you time to be with yourself, and perhaps end the night off with meditation or mindful journaling.

  • Day out in the city: Go out an adventure and head to downtown for a whole entire day, go with some friends or family, and act like a tourist in your own city! I live in the Chicagoland area, therefore I go to my beautiful city of Chicago. Go out to dinner down there, take some artsy photos, possibly go shop, and stop at some touristy attractions, (The Bean, Navy Pier, etc.) or even venture out with no plan and look for hidden gems throughout the city!
  • Embrace/Explore Nature: Like the Passion Pit song “Take a Walk”, out in nature, go explore your local forest preserves, go out on a hike, have a picnic, or even just go to a park to lie down and gaze at the clouds. Getting out in nature is good for you, not only by getting vitamin D, but by releasing some stressful thoughts that have been on your mind lately.

  • DIY or Create Art: Let’s say there’s been this project that you’ve been wanting to make for a while now and you were always busy before, now is the absolute perfect time to get started especially since you have no excuse! There are so many DIY projects out on pinterest, blogs, and YouTube! They can be for your living space, for someone else, or just for fun. On top of that perhaps finish an art project that you started a while back, that being a drawing or painting, unleash your creativity and just go all out!

Hopefully these gave you some ideas for throughout your Spring Break to have fun. What I received in my Ipsy Glam Bag/// March 2018

Hey lovelies, in today’s post I will be showing you my what I received in my March Ipsy Glam bag! I received my bag this past Monday, and I was so eager to share it with you all. Okay, my first impression of the bag was that this is the best bag so far, The bag is very creative and different from others, not to mention, all the products that I received this month are all new products I have never tried, and mostly from brands I’m unfamiliar with.

This month’s Glam bag theme is “Create”, turning yourself and your world into a work of art. It is all about embracing creativity, changing things up a bit, and adding a little pop into your life. The bag comes with two markers, a lime green and a hot pink, for you to color the heads on your bag and make it uniquely yours. Now onto my Glam bag, shall we!

BRTC Jasmine Waterful Foaming Cleanser

I am very excited that I received a skin care product in my bag, I feel that I have not gotten any skin care products in my Ipsy bag within the past few months. This cleanser happens to come from a Korean Beauty brand, that smells just like the beautiful flower of Jasmine. I find the consistency of the cleanser very similar to the, Jeju Volcanic Cleanser, which I like for a more soothing cleanse to the skin.

AHAVA Time To Clear Purifying Mud Mask

This happened to be my second skin care product I received this month, from a new brand that I’m very eager to try. The mask contains mud from the Dead Sea in Israel, and you know it’s going to be good. The instructions state that the mask is only on for about two minutes, then should be rinsed off.

Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow in “LOLA”

I have heard great things about the Doucce eyeshadows and I was very excited when I received a shade in this plumberry color. When I first applied this to my skin, the color picked up very well, although it was a little lighter than it appeared in the pan, which is fine with me because the color is still gorgeous. I feel that this color would work very well with coppers/oranges/tan hues. (Swatch will be shown with the next product).

City Color Glow Duo: Cream | Powder

The powder color stood out to me a lot because it is this pretty iridescent bronze that stands out and for the cream, I was excited to pretty much try another cream highlighter, however I was very disappointed when I took a swatch of the shade. I went to apply the cream highlighter three times and hardly any shimmer showed up, it is very shear and not at all pigmented which was a huge downer. On the *bright side* (highlighter is bright, get it, haha), the bronze shade won my favor, much more than a lot of similar shades I have come across, simply because the color is a bronzed shimmer with a subtle pink tint! This color and the Lola Doucce shade, would be absolutely stunning together in an eye look!

Tarte Sex Kitten Eyeliner

Lastly, I received a black gel eyeliner and I’m glad I received this over a liquid liner since I do not really wear eyeliner. Although, since the application is a bit easier with this, I am willing to try using this the next time I do an eye look. Fingers crossed that this works out, because I need something to make my eyes pop!

//Self-Care Activities// 2018

Hello everyone! I am very sorry that I have not posted recently, I have been a bit busy, and unfortunately, I hit writer’s block! However, I do have a list of some posts I plan to do. Since it is finally the weekend, I thought I would give you guys a list of some self-care activities/things to do for yourself this week and forever. These are personally some of my favorite things to do when, I am in need of just relaxing.

  1. Taking a bubble bath: Okay, so this is probably the most basic one, but I mean it’s honestly pretty great, I personally love taking baths before going to bed, I sleep a lot better and it relaxes me. I recommend using a lush bath bomb or a bubble bar in your bath, for a sudsy experience, not to mention, you can listen to your favorite tunes or watch Netflix like I do, lol!
  2. Taking a nap or sleeping in: Look everyone needs their sleep, and whenever you have some downtime, take advantage of it to sleep, this will help clear your mind for a bit and help energize you.
  3. Going for a walk: Sometimes all it takes is fresh air to help soothe you. So go outside, and take a walk. It can be your neighborhood, a forest preserve, or out in the city. The walk will give you some time alone with your thoughts and give your inspiration.
  4. Journaling: The power of journaling is absolutely incredible, it’s a space for you to write down whatever your feeling and just let it all out. Even if you’re not a writer, just writing down what’s on your mind will release the stress you are feeling. If your unsure, then perhaps look up mindful prompts to give you guidance. Never underestimate the power of writing down what you feel.
  5. Meditate: Meditation is the best way to practice mindfulness. To sit and just be with your thoughts. There are so many guided meditations on the internet, YouTube, and some helpful apps; Calm and Headspace. Meditation is difficult, so do not expect to just instantly have a clear mind, it takes time and even if it’s a feeling of discomfort with all these thoughts coming to you, sit through it, because in the long run this will help.
  6. Create some art: Let your mind express itself and create what you feel. Art is always expressive no matter what it is. Whether it’s doodling, painting colors, or a montage of pieces, just do it because it is uniquely created by you.
  7. Binge-watch on Netflix or Hulu: Honestly, this might be my favorite, watching tv for me is just a way I like to not worry about anything and just worry about my show! However, I would set a limit so that you are not watching tv for 8 hours straight, but at least once a week, feel free to binge watch your favorite show. So get your favorite snack, throw on a face mask, and watch away! I have currently been obsessed with watching old “Jersey shore” episodes (Don’t judge lol, I love this show)! 😂

Okay, well hopefully these was helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to comment down post ideas that you would like me to post on my blog. Do not forget to like and comment down which activity you will do this weekend! 🛀IMG-2019
